THURSDAY, 13 MARCH

A private view and talk by artist Rebecca Hawkins (with optional gallery supper)

WHEN:      Thursday, 13 March
WHERE:     Meadow, Stockbridge
TIME:         6.30 - 10pm

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we are hosting a private viewing and talk by artist Rebecca Hawkins about her work celebrating the strength of women and story telling through art.

Rebecca creates powerful drawings and sculptures which hold strength, movement and elegance at their core. Her work explores what freedom means to us and celebrates the courage of women across the world, who are often voiceless and unseen, living in situations where they are culturally or socially stigmatised. Rebecca is especially interested in the notion of what it means to feel empowered for women who are born into more challenging environments, and of the concept of Physis: "the determination to grow and survive".

Rebecca will have a collection of sculptures from her work over the last 7 years, and most notably, her latest collection, Journeys with water, inspired by the impactful work of Frank Water. Frank Water is a British charity that provides vital access to safe water for communities in rural India and Nepal.

Talk & drink only - £15
