On Thursday 15th October, we will be welcoming JAMJAR Edit to the gallery for their signature two-hour flower pressing workshop.

They will fill the table with seasonal English flowers sourced from local suppliers. They will teach you all the techniques and processes you need to ensure satisfying results from your press - how to select and prepare your specimens as well as maintaining them throughout the drying process, along with all the tips and tricks they've learnt over the years.

Working with flowers pressed for you in advance, you will come away from this pressed flower course having mastered techniques for mounting artworks using a variety of handmade papers and materials - all yours to take home to further your pursuits in the art of flower pressing.

Ticket Includes: 

- Tea, coffee and pastries 

- A flower press which you will fill with seasonal flowers (27.5 x 17.5cm)

- Pre-pressed flowers, A5 mountboard and hand-made coloured paper and all materials required for making two artworks to take home.

Come and spend the morning with florist Katie Carrick-Buchanan, enjoy complimentary coffee, pastries and festive tunes whilst learning how to create your own Christmas wreath. Using British grown winter foliage and beautiful festive adornments, Katie will guide you through the process to create a fabulous winter wreath that will happily last throughout Christmas.

The course is suitable for all levels.
